  Explorations of Japan

         Haiku

Endless sea between
Reality and our dreams
Waits for us to swim.

         Tanka

Petals fall from high
Softly they dance in the sky
High above the floor
Yet eventual fate is nigh
And so they will dance no more.

    Bussokusekika

Rain drops fall like tears
Staining the sky with sorrow
Torrents of water,
Sacred orbs of somber gloom,
Give life to those things beneath
Making love flourish and grow.

            Sedoka

I hear a heart-beat
Tis poignant yet not my own,
Strong and bold it beats loudly
But where does it lie?
Someday I shall find that heart
And the chest in which it lies

            Katauta

Electricity
Coursing through my heated veins
Is unbound love running free.

             Lune

Walking through a life
Eternal
Is a lonely fate.

           J.C. Lune

I laugh at
The absurd word requirement of
Jack Collom Lunes.

        Gogyohka

Splintered ambitions eclipse the sky
Of a sun of joy and love,
But one  should not lose hope
Over one small event
For someday that sun shall brightly shine.
I have a bit of a habbit of experimenting with different technical styles and thought to write a collection of poems utilizing different Japanese forms.
